One Electric’s KRIDN X Logs 117 Km Daily in Commercial Rental Operations
One Electric’s KRIDN X averaged 117 km daily in Delhi NCR rentals, with a record 371 km in one day. Discover how its AI-powered platform, commercial testing across Africa and India, and heavy-duty design support fleet operations.
While electric scooters have led India’s electric vehicle transition so far, electric motorcycles are also establishing a presence in the market. One Electric, based in Noida, is among the players in this segment, with its motorcycles recording high daily running distances in commercial operations.
Gaurav Uppal, CEO of One Electric, said the company’s rental operations in Delhi NCR serve ride-hailing captains and make the KRIDN X one of India’s highest-utilisation electric motorcycles. According to the company, its OneMobility.in rental fleet in Delhi NCR averaged 117 km per bike per day in September 2026, while its best-performing motorcycle covered 371 km in one day.
The latest figures cap a seven-year development journey that began with the company’s first heavy-duty electric motorcycle prototype in 2019. Since then, One Electric has put thousands of vehicles on the road across four African countries and seven Indian states, covering millions of kilometres under some of the world’s toughest commercial duty cycles.
One Electric built its first heavy-duty electric motorcycle in 2019 and received ICAT approval in 2020. In October 2020, it launched the original KRIDN, which was then among India’s fastest electric motorcycles, with a top speed of 95 km/h and a range of 110 km.
Africa subsequently became a testing ground for the company’s commercial electric motorcycles. In 2021, One Electric supplied a pilot batch of more than 1,000 bikes to Togo and Benin. In 2022, it conducted battery-swapping trials in Nairobi. These trials were followed in 2023 by the launch of the first electric motorcycle taxi service in Africa by a leading ride-hailing company, with the motorcycles carrying riders for 16–18 hours and travelling up to 200 km a day under loads of 200 kg.
The company also deployed motorcycles in last-mile delivery fleets in Lagos and established a local assembly plant in Nairobi with partners.
During this expansion, the team developed multiple chassis from the ground up and patented several vehicle designs, working with its partners Nayandeep and Milan. The KRIDN family subsequently expanded to include the KRIDN Sport, KRIDN XR and KRIDN X+, with each model shaped by data gathered from field operations.
In 2024, One Electric concluded that the Indian market required a fully Indianized motorcycle designed around the needs of commercial riders who depend on their vehicles for their livelihoods, rather than enthusiasts seeking high top speeds. This led to the development of the KRIDN X, which was designed around urban operating conditions, durability, range and ease of maintenance.
The KRIDN X has a lower top speed of 70 km/h, intended to suit city traffic and rider safety requirements. Its 3.5 kW mid-drive motor delivers more than 190 Nm of torque, while the motorcycle offers a range of more than 80 km per battery swap. The heavy-duty design includes 17-inch wheels, a payload capacity of 200 kg and 160 mm of ground clearance.
The company has also prioritised the availability of spare parts, allowing roadside mechanics to carry out repairs and keep the motorcycles operational. The KRIDN X was tested and homologated at ARAI in Pune and comes with a One Electric warranty of four years or 1,50,000 km.
“Our riders don't need a superbike. They need a bike that starts every morning, carries a passenger and cargo all day, and can be fixed anywhere. KRIDN X is everything we learnt in past 7 years, rebuilt for Indian roads,” said Gaurav Uppal, Founder and CEO of One Electric.
To support commercial deployment, the company launched OneMobility.in, a rental service that provides bike-taxi and delivery riders in Delhi NCR with electric motorcycles through daily and weekly plans. Verified telematics data from the live fleet for September 2026 recorded an average distance of 117 km per bike per day and a best single-day distance of 371 km. The company also reported a best rider earnings figure of 5142 Kms in Sept 26.
The distance figures are derived from onboard telematics and cross-checked against GPS data.
The company attributes the fleet’s high utilisation not only to the motorcycle’s design but also to the intelligence behind its maintenance and operations. Every motorcycle transmits live data to OneMobility’s AI-based rental platform, which manages rider onboarding, KYC, payments and fleet tracking while conducting machine-learning analytics on vehicle performance.
The platform supports a strict two-week maintenance schedule for every vehicle and continuously monitors live data, including motor and controller temperatures, energy consumption per kilometre, riding behaviour and regenerative braking. It also generates early warnings about overheating, abnormal energy consumption and risky riding before these issues develop into breakdowns. On-road assistance is provided promptly when riders require support.
The platform was developed by Adit and Karanveer, final-year B.Tech students majoring in Artificial Intelligence at the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.
“Every kilometre our bikes run becomes data. We use it to decide when a bike needs service, which riders need coaching and how to keep each vehicle earning. Furthermore, we realized early on that filtering noise and de-duplicating repetitive signals, would be critical for creating a useful, actionable information pipeline,” said Adit /Karanveer, Co-Leads at OneMobility.in.
Adit added that telematics data shows the KRIDN X consumes approximately 30 Wh per kilometre in Delhi traffic, making the cost of a full day’s running a fraction of that of a petrol motorcycle.
The company is now preparing to expand its commercial operations as new rules in Delhi NCR and Maharashtra require bike-taxi and delivery fleets to add only electric two-wheelers. Demand is rising for electric motorcycles capable of operating throughout the day, creating opportunities for vehicles designed for intensive commercial use.
One Electric is among the few companies that designs, builds, rents and operates its own electric motorcycles. It plans to expand the OneMobility fleet through partnerships across NCR and other cities.
“Commercial riders are the toughest test any motorcycle can face. Our bikes run 117 km a day, every day, in real bike-taxi service. We plan to first address the huge B2B market segment before launching in the B2C segment with this durable electric commuter. When daily commuters buy a KRIDN X, they’ll be buying a bike already proven over millions of commercial kilometres,” said Gaurav.
With its commercial rental operations providing real-world performance data, One Electric is positioning the KRIDN X for wider deployment among business customers before entering the consumer segment. Its combination of daily utilisation, vehicle monitoring, scheduled maintenance and field-tested design forms the foundation of its planned expansion into additional cities.
